I'm a graduate student doing masters in Electrical Engineering at Rutgers University, NJ. I'm very much interested in researching about brain. I'm currently learning and trying understand about different cognitive processes and the network mapping in brain using fMRI scan. At the same time, I'm passionate about Tamil language.
I had asked my father to do some search in Tamil literature with reference to brain research as I had read about the sithargal who had done lot of research in the field medicine. I was keen on Thirumular's Thirumandiram as it directly talks about medicine.
That is when he introduced me to your youtube talks and it kindled my interests. And I was surprised to know so much of information is hidden in Thirukural just to be seen in a different perspective. I'm impressed with the kind of work you have started. I would love to be a part of it, learn and research neuroscience talked in tamill literature and spread the information worldwide.

I'm researching about the Neurolinguistics aspects of Broca's Aphasia. I would like to know if there are any research available on Tamil language and Aphasia. I've found article using Dutch, German, Korean, Mandrian. But the foreign journals do not have much citations for Tamil Language studies. It would be great if you can help me out.

What impact does a language have and aid in recovery from Aphasia.

Do we have anybody working on Tamil language and BA?

I learned that there's lot of work going on in All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore, related to Indian languages and BA by Dr. Shyamala Chengappa and her students.
